This one won't go down well. Boring old South city classic oval. You know, the oval with the treacherous chicane and the hairpin straight out of the pit lane and the tricky sweeping lefthander under the flyover.:tumbleweed:
Still, being the stalwarts that we are I expect we'll muddle through.

It is better to stay quiet and act the fool, than to say something and remove all doubt

I ment that the short track has an amazing number of 1 right hand corners! About as interesting as AS1, AS2 and FE1. The biggest excitement could be who can cause the biggest jam in the bus stop chicane. A real track has more length and more corners...both ways! You know something like Nürburgring Nordschleife (the old config)

Nürburgring Nordschleife? Sounds interesting. :g:Whats the track code for there?
On South City its the left hand corners that wear me bleedin tyres out.:crying:

NR1=Südschleife, NR2=Nordschleife, NR3=combined (Süd + Nord).

Same here. On the other hand it would be impossible for right handers doing it because there ain't any.

How about 30 laps one way, then 30 laps the other way round? No? Oh, OK then. :)

That would be an idea. If you had to retire in the first race, you have chance again in the next one. Reversed grid in the 2nd race? :g:

EDIT: Except you would need to do some practise laps first.

I think what we all have to realise is that:' You can please some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time.'
Here's another one: 'One man's meat is another man's poison'
Or: 'There's ne'er a mickle in a muckle'

Well done Aquilifer. For someone who thought the combo sucked you did a great job! :norty: I assume your tyres lasted. I though I'd be clever and make two pit stops, reckoning that by the time I did the second stop (40 minutes) the tyres would be shagged. Damn me, they weren't changed! It was not until the last few laps that they were getting a bit 'iffy'
Anyway, most enjoyable combo from my point of view.

Oh yes, sorry about the cock up AGAIN. I've had a complete reorganisation of my keyboard shortcuts and that didn't ought to happen again.

I really enjoyed the race from start to finish and had a few good battles. First with Doors until he pitted, then with Cat and finally with Vobler. I was deliberately slow (as compared with my normal slowness) in the first few laps in order to care for tyre wear (and heat) and that paid off as the tyres were still gripping on the last lap.
Congrats to Aquilifer on his victory :D

Thanks. Well I don't like short and simple tracks so much. Tracks which I like are like KY3/R, WE1/R and FE4. The track I hate most is maybe AS2. The combo was good in a way that there was lot of racing (in the short races) and the lap times were quite even often.

I didn't expect them to last so well. In the short races I had problems with the heat at the last laps. But once again it proved that when the tyres get thinner the temperatures tend to drop. In the end my front left was almost completely green (and no tyre change). Around 10-20 laps I had to drive bit carefully because the heats peaked then and Spud was chasing me close. I had tryed to minimize the heating by removing all toe-in/out from the front, balansing the camber for the front right and then just driving 'nicely'.

I think your problem was the heat, not the tyre wear. I have had that problem often as you cannot make a pit rule which would change tyres if they get too hot (only if the wear up). If you want to be sure they change them, put the tyre change rule wear to 1% and it is guaranteed.

I was bit surprised that Spud was driving so well/fast the whole week. I though he was a total newbie   Good job Spud :thumb:

Congrats to all finishing (and if not, better luck next time).

The frightening thing is he IS a newbie! He's only had the game a couple of weeks!
