Hi, I'm new here...

... at least to some folks here. Haven't been logged on to the forum for two months (and God knows how long it as been since I logged into WoW), so I guess some things have changed and some new folks have arrived.

Short recap: Hi, I'm Bob (why Bob? It's a long story - think you'll find something about it if you search the forum) and has been around in SOG since March 2005 (anyone able to beat that :boxing:). I was also an officer since January last year, but I resigned that position early this year, as I haven't really been playing much since around October last year. It has been my intention to write this post for some time now, but it has just dragged out for no particular reason really, but finally, here it goes (this is the "short" version, the Officers have already gotten a longer one some time back):

Nearly three years of WoW is a long time, and as with many others, the interest just started to slowly fade - school has been very demanding the last year (final year of my M.Sc. in computer science), some things in my life has changed, very often I don't find the time I had before, and I also miss the simple joy of the game I had before.

The 13th of February I had a new pending payment for my WoW subscription. I was thinking about it for some time, but I ended up not paying it. I didn't do anything as drastic as deleting my characters, so there is a small chance I at some point will return, but it is not something I have planned at least. Who knows, when uni finishes and I start working in August (and the GF goes to Brazil for four months :narnar:), I might have some spare time I won't know what to do with... But we'll see about that.


Basically, I just wanted to say hi - to all the new folks, and also to all old friends. I haven't forgotten you at all, and I still see SOG as my home and family in the universe of WoW - even though I don't play anymore.

I'll probably drop by the forum randomly, but should you need to get hold of me for some reason, you better send a PM (hurray for e-mail notification :yahoo:).

And I would love for somebody to give me an update here in this thread if there is some major changes or other big news that has happened the last months that I should know about
