Pleasure mate, remember 'Setz 'r us'. :)

Aquilifer

Have to agree. Westhill is a good track. Too little used in general, maybe because of only one config. Eric should have put some effort making more Westhill configs instead of 1001 Astons.

vobler

Good luck tonight guys! I can't be there. :crying:

Lameduck

Typical lame effort. :sad:Went brilliantly for the first 14 laps, watching (from a respectful distance) the dice between Seany & Crazy before having a battle of my own with Dee Slider. I soon concluded that the tyres would go completly so I eased back. No, honest. :norty:
In the pits at 30 minute mark, change of rubber on the front and off again as I had fueled enough for the whole race. Ben overtook me as I came out of the pits but I managed to get ahead of him once the tyres had warmed. I was looking forward to the 2nd half as everything had gone to plan and had visions of decent points.
Disaster struck shortly after, caused by a sloppy gear change up from 4th to 5th which ended up in 3rd. :doh:Engine then did a fine imitation of Mary Poppins for the rest of the race.
Slipped down the field and finished 9th and two points, :yahoo:courtesy of absent friends (Deetz & Vobler).
But next week............

Jamin

Congrats Venca :yahoo:

Jumped in too late for quali and saw the state I'd left my setup on Monday so tried a flotch setup as his tend to be oversteery in an attempt to save my front tyres. It took a few laps to get used to it so fell back a bit to thirteenth, by 15 min I had the hang of it, the tyres were good as I'd hoped and was lapping consistently and catching others.

Kev and Bob came out of the pits together, I took them both but went wide in a corner and Bob went past

and...

I took Bob again a few laps later, I got as far as sixth before pitting at about 50 mins. Stupid pit crew changed my fronts and took their time about it, as I set off, Bob and Kev went past and I was tenth, that's how I finished.

Doorman

It was a lovely day for a tootle around in the countryside. I saw wabbits and weindeer, oh and a herd of Wildebeests
I got home before OldBloke though. :norty:

congrats to all the podium grabbers :worship:

a mixed night for me, hit a pb in quali on my first run, tried a few more runs but couldn't get anywhere near it let alone improve but still found myself on the front row :yahoo:
the race started and slowley watched venca disapear :byebye:, and it was all i could do to keep aquilifer behind me.
after a few laps, decided to let him go (honest) just trying to hang onto the back of him, but onced released aquilifer showed his pace and disapeared aswell.
before i new it i had seany and andy( having their weekly battle ) screaming up behind me,
tried my best to race them but by this time me front right was feeling the strain and they both made light work of passing me.
then came the excursion onto the green stuff, which cost a few more places:sideways:.
my nightmare continued when i got a speeding ticket on my pit stop, once i had done my drive thru i found myself down to 10th place:doh:
managed to make it up to 8th in the end after ben pitted and bob had engine trouble.
all in all a disapointing race
 but as always great fun:D

spudgun55

really great to be back racing, had a tough start and was really over driving the car (front tyres glowing red like a baboons arse), oldie ect was pulling away and it looked like i had really lost any chance of catching up, i then took a totally different race line and eased up on the long right hand bends and seattled into a good race pace, managed to complete the race with same tyres and 1 stop so well pleased really with 6th place,  brilliant

look forward to next thurs :yahoo:

I knew from experience Westhill can be bad for tyres. I had mixed the set Andy had given me and my set. I worked very well.

Tryed to conserve the tyres as they easily heated. I had bit worries around 10-15 laps if they are going to overheat, but they settled down when did not try to do hotlap times.

I had planned to change tyres, but they didn't look so thin or hot so I just made a quick stop and go.

Venca got too much lead in the start and I doubt if I could have challenged him anyway. So after 10 laps it got bit lonely, but it was still ok as I like Westhill and RB4.

Congrats to Venca and all who finished - which is always an achievement itself :)
