I find this fascinating, and hope they overcome the technical issues that currently are associated with it.

Yup, read that a while ago when researching water injection. That lead me to this; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Six_stroke_engine which in turn lead me to the stirling engine. All great stuff but you can lose track of time very easily on wiki!

I was briefly told about them in a Thermodynamics course, they're neat little things. Is it only me who laughed at the first picture on the wiki site thinking "Thats very Austin Powers"
