QuoteMy P4 2.4 runs at 43C under full combat conditions - it was recently at 90C before I noticed anything untoward. Seems to have recovered unscathed I might add.
What programme do you use in order that you can see this information as you 'work'?[/b]

I use Motherboard Monitor (MBM) http://mbm.livewiredev.com/.  Very configurable, and Alex does a top rate job at supporting it.

QuoteTwo possibilities atm.

1. Buying a complete barebone system cost ($700-800)

2a. Buying a barebone Shuttle and then transferring cpu, mem, gfx only when going to LAN. The Shuttle could be upgraded down the road.

2b. Same as 2a but going for a really cheap barebone (not shuttle).

This is what I have right now that could be transferred.
XP1900+ (Palomino)
GeForce 3 Ti500
512 MB PC2100

 :?

The shuttle i have is similar.
XP2200+
Gefrorce 3 ti500
512mb PC2700.

And i dont use it at all just sits there looking pretty.

So are you saying that you want to get rid of it? :multi:

What model is it?

I dont actually know tbh i keep saying that i might get rid of it and the missus says im not......for what reason i dont know.

I initially bought it to DL and watch movies on the TV, since i havnt tried that yet i might give it a go first before i decide on getting rid.

Dr Sadako

Ok. Keep me posted. If I get one it will not be until September/October.

Good Prog, just tried it. Bit heavy on the config but does the job nicely.

Its a geforce 5900 and the temperature monitoring is built into the drivers (you get to it through the properties dialog)
