OMG, "Yes I live near Russia, that's foreign policy practice isn't it?"
I live walking distance from a Mosque, doesn't mean I understand middle eastern politics.
I use a computer, doesn't mean I can read machine code.

Being near something and understanding the background to it are two completely different things.
Since it is HIGHLY PROBABLE that due to McCains prior medical history that Palin would be left in charge of the country (either when he snuffs it, or goes in for another operation) I think this is a very worrying choice of VP.
In the run up to the election where she's being fed what to say by a bunch of PR gurus, and she still manages to say something as cringeworthy as that, Shocking!
