Please write a nice review of your race to quail my frustration!

I sadly ended hotlapping the XRT on FE3R due to snail-paced internet connection, and could not even browse the forums or spy via remote.
@ Doorman: excellent chicane work! How did lap 1 go through :) ?

Bumper crashes with Seany and Dee Slider. I could have said "well held" to Seany, but I kept shut up. Sorry.

Great racing last night unfortunatly i am a bit rusty, i  had no pre race practice with this combo, Lameduck gave me a set up which felt good and i qualified 9th (i must say well done to bob for the superb lap for pole:thumb:) had a good start to the race, clipped chicane and landed on roof end of race:crying:,  ho hum.
but watching the last 10 laps of the race was superb, great racing.

ps thought it was a great idea for the seasons winner badge, who ever suggested.

not to worry Romus, racing incident. I probably caught you out with my heavy braking. A couple of bumps are to be expected through the pack with T1 compression, I was "braced" for impact. :D

Qualify went ok for me, cant remember my exact position, I think it was between 6 and 8th.  Got a decent start but after a couple of laps I messed up the chicane and dropped to 2nd last. Made an early pitstop then started clawing my way back through the field.  Caught up to Andy but he had the measure of me and I could make no more ground on him. Things got exciting when Aqui left the pits after half distance, he challenged for a couple of corners, then backed off a bit.  Didn't think Id have to worry about him again, was I wrong. :)

Towards the end of the race Bob, whom from his pole position was very strong in this race (good show mate), started to loose some pace and got gobbled up by Andy.  I thought I might have a go.  On the last lap I got within striking distance on the corner before the back straight, but oh my, what's this in my mirrors? Aquilifer no less!  he made like eight car lengths on me in about two corners.

So now here we go up the back straight for the final time.  I have a run on Bob, nosing ahead of him, but I'm on the inside for the chicane of doom with Aquilifer in tow. Bob is like a dog with a bone, he's not having any of it and fights to the last :boxing: . I out braked myself and slammed in to the tire wall, Dunlops flying. Both Bob and Aquilifer barely scrapped past, but there was contact which cost Bob another place.  Sorry mate

In hindsight, there was no real way I was going to make that chicane from the inside position, hard to know what to do though, with Aqui right up me chuff. :)

It was an enjoyable race, congrats to Deetz and the podium takers and Bob for his excellent run and pole.

I had a fantastic race. Pole position for the first ( & probably last) time and  terrific dicing all through the race. :D
Managed to keep Deetzie at bay for about 18 minutes,(I want a badge for that) but once he passed he slowly eased away. I made a mistake in not fueling for the whole of the race and my pitstop was an additional 8 seconds, which was enough to see Dee safely in second. I had a good battle with Andy but he took full advantage of a tyre nudge in the chicane.
The last lap was great. Seany made a valiant effort and suceeded in a good pass going into the chicane but was a little too late on the brakes. Tyres all over the place and Aqui now right in the mix. I managed to pull away  from the chaos but on the final corner when the grip totally disappeared Paavo took full advantage (thoughtless swine!, how could he do that to a OAP?).
Suberb entertainment.
NKPro, I've S**t it.

No no no. Now you have opened the stream and who knows what follows. Winning makes winners. :)

Doorman

As Clerk of the course for the evening(I haven't touched LFS hardly since you-know-what) I was witness to a bloody marvelous display of derring do (that IS correct) by Bob. Not only did he nick pole from under the nose of a confident Deetz in the dieing seconds of qualifying, (I wish we had webcams, would have loved to seen his face :D) with a PB!
He took the lead in the race and he didn't buckle under enormous pressure from Deetz and Aquilifer. He kept that up for 8 laps then made a tiny ricket at the chicane. That let Deetzie through. He then started getting a bit scruffy and it took a little time to get back on message.
I flicked through the field looking for action and I foiund it all over the place. I'm afraid I put the kiss of death on Romus by saying "Romus is making good progress through the field" when suddenly BANG! He ended up behind the barrier at the....yep, the chicane.
All in all a very good evenings entertainment. Live for Speed is a great spectator sport. Probably the best.
Well done everyone.

I was very satisfied with the 3rd place in the qual. Bob did an amazing lap and took the pole :)

In the beginning I tryed to stay with the "hotshots", but quickly found out that no way I'm able to finish the race with that kind of lap times. Those maniacs were doing the same times as in the short races :taz: Trying to avoid any locking or accelerating out of corners so that front would spin limited my lap times around 1:34s. I was constantly worried for the front tyres.

Maybe 20-15mins to the end the car began to feel better and slowly was able to make bit better lap times. Pitted and came out just behind Sean. Started to chase him, but blew couple of corners and he managed to get gap.

Then I counted there was time left only for couple of laps so I decided that let's try few fast laps. I managed to close up Sean and Bob. It would be very close and if there are any problems I might have a chance. It also looked like Duckie had hot tyres or something because his speed was not like in the beginning. At the last lap I managed to get right behind them in the eau Ron chicane. Sean touched the barriers and managed to slip between him and the barrier and past. I have to say I felt bit sorry for Sean having such an accident at the last lap. Then in the last corner Bob went wide (hot tyres? ) and again by just taking advantage of the situation slipped to the 4th place. This time it felt almost like robbing a guy in coma. Felt bad for 0.0001 secs before cruising over the finish line.

Good race :)
