We are finally getting somewhere with our troubleshooting. We have narrowed the cause down to either a dodgy port on the main router or a dodgy cable going from our firewall to the ISP main router.

There will be a short outage in the early hours of Wednesday 11 Feb 2009 to allow us to swap ports and, if necessary, swap cables.

Thank you for bearing with us and we look forward to some trouble free gaming again.

The cable was swapped out last night and we were also given a nice new port on the ISPs Cisco router. Unfortunately we are still seeing corruption on our link so it looks as if it may be an issue with our firewall. We are contacting the manufacturer for remote support and if that fails then it will be new firewall time.

Sorry there is no better news but hopefully this will keep everyone in the loop as to what is going on.

Gandy has waved his magic wand at the firewall, currently rebooting all game servers to see if improvement present.

Hurrah, well persevered BB and Gandy and any others I have missed.

I would also like to thank my support team and their unstinting devotion to duty, my cat, Mong, who kept my lap warm on the cold nights, the dog, Milo, for just being mad and an endless source of amusment..... :yahoo:
I do exactly what the little voices tell me to.

PC Specs:- Black box with some fans that go whirrr, a few lights, things inside that get warm, headphones, keyboard (a clicky one), mouse (with buttons and no squeak), disks (2-off SSD and HDD) and a monitor of sufficient proportions.
