How Do You Guys Deal With Cheaters?

Hi guys it's your friend (to some) from across the "pond". Just wanderinf how you guys deal with hackers and how you find the hackers? Do you run anti-cheat program of some kind or just go by intuition?
Also you guys don't have an unlocked server?

Right now we have two servers, Meat Hook and Baldric. On Baldric we have Cheating Death (CD) running as it is our match server. As of now CD haven't been installed on Meat Hook, but probably will in the near future.

Regarding cheating we (admins/dMw members) try to first person the player that seem dodgy and we also record demos. These demos are then distributed to the other admins for a second opinion. Most of the time the cheaters are doing such a crappy job hiding the cheat that it is really easy to spot them. If we find a cheater we permanently ban them.

No we don't have a public (unlocked) server for several reasons. First of all it is easier for us admins to monitor a "closed" community and by that it is easier to spot a cheat. Secondly we play our PCS style which requires that you have read the rules and it is hard to play that style on public server as people just drop in. Finally, we have two servers but Meat Hook is the one most used so there is really no point right now to open another cs server when we only have one that is full most of the time.

When was the last cheater caught on MeatHook? Eh? Eh? I didn't think we had 'em.

We don't and I think cheaters are a less prone to join a community like ours when the servers are password protected.
