Proposition for dmr

I have to ask You guys about something. About Your servers. I see You own two servers - one demo and one licensed.

Well I'm a tester for new, being currently made hosting company. I'm searching for folks who would like to have additional server for free for testing time and of course do some racing and testing on it.
We had few races toghether and i see You guys very often online so i guess that is my best try :} Location of the server would be in Maidenhead UK. What do You think?

I think you may have misunderstood, Lameduck

What I think Kamo meant is if we (dMr) are interested in having an extra dMr server, for testing and/or race purposes.

Times are strange - no one even wants a free server. You really think i would try to cheat you in some way? Servers needs testing i need people to test them it's easy as this.

Don't think that we mistrust you, though. It's not like that at all. It's just that we've already got two servers - 1 demo and 1 S2 - and well... that seems to be more than enough. If we accepted your offer the extra server would probably not be used, making it kind of pointless

I'm sure there are plenty of people wanting to accept your generous offer, though. Maybe pm a few people on the LFS forum. I wouldn't start a public thread about it because it'll get flooded with replies in no time.

dMr (and indeed dMw) is not the same as other teams though, it's a very wide gaming community, and rather than renting an instance on a server, they have at least two whole servers, a 100Mbit connection, etc etc - so same as what some server hosting companies have.

I think it's not really that they don't think the offer is without value, but instead that they really have no need - should an extra LFS server be needed, there is spare host capacity and bandwidth there to create it.

I have a proposition for you though, I'll PM you about it.
