I have a Lv 80 death knight and I'm looking for the easiest way to get about 5000 gold. Some people have told me to just do the dailies while others suggest grinding primals and selling them on the AH. I'd be keen to hear some ideas about which is the most painless way to get the gold.

If it matters I am 450 herbalism and 432 inscription. Armor is the savage saronite set and I have a 136 dps 2h axe, so I don't imagine grinding elites would be in my league.

Cheers

My vote is always for the AH route.  But, also consider that as you are an inscription dude then you can herb what you see whilst doing the dailes, then make & sell the sell inscriptions.  It will add up real quick.

Cheers.

So what should I be looking to sell on the Ah? Anything I can farm off mobs?

Herbs are always good cash + the inscriptions TL mentioned. Most of the stuff you get off mobs is not worth much on AH (if you can get it off those mobs with ease, so can everyone else after all), but don't let that stop you from picking it up. Stacks of grey/white items can add up to quite alot on vendor.

As for my advice... I would go with dailies, but that's mostly cause I'm not much for the whole AH game of supply n demand and such, and I like to kill stuff rather than be the economist :P I found that the gold I got off just getting my toon to lvl 80, from Q rewards, selling stuff I got off mobs to vendor etc., was close to 4k already.

I recently had a gold grind bud, I found the best way was to do dailies, while picking herbs and selling, but also if you get any greens DE them normally they sell within 10 mins

Améthyst

For my first toon it was fishing & buff foods, if you can cook then it is easy money.  She is a skinner & leatherworker so anything spare she did not need to skill from got sold.

My second I de'd everything I ever got to raise her enchanting & sold off any mats left over, as Jim says enchanting mats sell fast so make friends with a friendly enchanter to de it for you!

My third was a battle of wills (got tired of farming by then) but she is a miner so I sold half the ore she got & sent the rest to my jc who prospected it & created gems to sell.

My forth ^^ see above!!

My fifth was simple, do dailies on all the others, send money.  She is a herbalist & alchemist but so far I have not used those to help raise money she keeps all the others in pots.

The more alts I got the easier it was to achieve, but the more difficult it becomes time wise!!

Good luck & happy grinding. :)

I was wondering if the was anything like the primals that we had in TBC, air fire etc. They were used in lots of professions and most lazy people couldn't be bothered to go farm them. Would it be worth grinding them for 'eternal xxxxx' stuff?

Oh and thanks for the replies :)

Yeah there's Crystalized Life, Fire, etc. which turn into Eternal Life, Fire etc., but I think they're not used that much. Next to that they're also very easy to farm because there's elementals aplenty in Northrend. So I'm not sure if they're worth much.

I made 1.000g with my DK in 6 hours of lvling inscripting (hes lvl 60 now). I can imagin you can make lots more at lvl 80.

Best knife, double kill:
-=[dMw]=-Lumi|T.Wolve killed -=[dMw]=-Sithy with knife.
-=[dMw]=-Lumi|T.Wolve killed -=[dMw]=-R@ng3R with knife.

On Argent Dawn for some odd reason Glyphs are not that valuable. I think half the realm went inscription :)

Interestingly I had just over 1,100 gold waiting for me in my mail box this morning on my inscription toon.  All I'd done was use the stockpile of inks I had built up during levelling and then made and put onto AH a single inscription for any inscription selling for more than 10g.  Where there was no competition I popped one on for a lot more.  Quite a lot seemed to sell.

Well I will certainly have a go at selling some stuff. Although I have just stumbled upon the Argent Tournament and will probably be stuck in there for a while :)

hehe  but those q's are a bit boring after a few days.

But it is easy money and rep, if you still need rep.
