I have just updated the hardware list for my folding farm and I reckon that pretty soon I should be matching and then maybe even overtaking your folding pace  :P
So look out behind you, I'm coming through
  • 1.67GHz XP2000 Palamino- 512MB PC2700 - XP Pro <>
  • 1.50GHz XP1800 Palamino- 1GB PC2100 - Windows 2000 Server
  • 1.43GHz XP1700 Palamino - 256MB - XP Pro <>
  • 1.43GHz XP1700 Palamino - 256MB PC2100 - XP Pro NEW
  • 1.73GHz XP2100 Palamino - 512MB PC2700 - XP Pro
  • Plus a borged neighbour's machine - specs unkown and only part-time (it is turned off at night).
I have added the XP1700 I was hoping to 'acquire' aka borg.
I have still to add my 2.34GHz overclocked XP1700 machine to the farm.
I have located another friend's machine that will shortly be borged for me :)
Don't know quite what is wrong with the CPU stats though as they appear to be wrong - they show far too few processors.
Most of the new processors are relatively new to my folding farm, but hopefully they should start delivering some real nice work units for me by the weekend.

But today's big question is will it be Stryker or TeaLeaf to bust through the 1k folding points - both need just the one WU.

This is not the time to discover that a completed WU is stuck in my PC's queue and cannot be returned to the Stanford as their server is busy     Here's hoping for better connectivity.......

i take it that a "windows process hider" runs programs in some sort of stealth mode?, if so i think it's totally unfair given the personal nature of the competition that you should be allowed to use such software, that is unless i too had a copy, so where do i get it from? eh!  :D

Stryker

If in google you do a search for "gene folding" you'll find folding@home fan sites.  Several of them had several process hiders.  This is pretty naughty tho  <_<

The EMIII thing I posted does client hiding.  You can also get remote network installs to run in stealth mode etc and one disk installs.   As I do not have access to networks of PCs I may not keep pace with you peeps if that happens.........but I'll bloody well try :D

As on the inventory page you can see I've got about 11Ghz in total working on folding...... me thinks thats enough as its getting silly and I'll be spending all my time managing the folding cluster

DogMeat

That's why you let me have the 2 boxes - you were overworked looking after the herd you'd already borged... ;)

Some pixies. No cars. No talent.

Stryker

Yeah, an when the others are part of the "dog-nads-borg cluster" you should have around 6Ghz of proccessor..... you done your desktop linux and windowz boxes yet?

Another question:  why am I asking you on here when I work 5 feet from you?  :lmfao:
