Hi all,

one problem i can see "There will no longer be any offspec or mainspec rolls. If you want it, you can bid for it as you are not going to waste valuable DKP by bidding loads for an offspec item!"

then ppl will just not use dkp on offspec and a lot more items wil be DE, and we will have no one to use their offspec to help out when needed.

Not saying this will happend but it is an option

I don't think it will happen as if someone wants it for offspec then they can bid 1 DKP for it. Chances are they will win it for that and be very happy

Anyway, it's the first time we've ever run something like this so the system will be tweaked as we gain experience.

i dont think ppl would mind giving 1 for offspec loot

i think the dkp system is a good idea.

I have 1 question and that is about the loot counsil.

As this is running abit in my minds for a long time now.

What about the people that use their offspec during the raids?

As i have been rolling on tank gear and most of the time lost it to someone that "almost" or never uses his offspec.

(this is just an example)

But will the counsil look at this and keep in mind or stays it the same?

If you get my point.

This is a complete change from the old loot system. I feel that with the new DKP system people can bid what they want for an item. If they really want that item, then they will bid more. You'd be crazy to blow all your DKP on an offspec you rarely use as you may need the points for a juicy piece of mainspec loot of the next boss!

The process should be self regulating, but we will monitor it for the first few weeks as it is a new process for us and we will 'learn' as we encounter any issues.

The idea of a bid system is it values the item appropriately. You as an offspec would not roll against a tank main on a tank item and the bid system works the same way - they will be willing to spend more DKP on the item than you will for an offspec item. Most offspec stuff goes for very low bid amounts once the system is up and running.

My 2 cents about Trophies:
As Gandalf said, this is a clean break and a new system, there is zero reason to run an old system alongside the new one, it only complicates and extends pain. Pay DKP for your trophy if you have not had it already, it all evens out in the end.

I have thought about the trophies and as we already have quite a list of who has had them I think it would be unfair to open them all up to DKP, so I will continue to run rolls for these until every raider has had one. Then they will become part of the DKP system.

Sithy won two rolls for the trophy but didn't get one as he had already got some loot.

Winners of the trophy were:

Sleepyy
Dannage
Tirkad
Spaceinvader
Lunares

I think there were only 3 people left that didn't have one on last nights raid, myself, Sithy and ANO (don't remember who it was).

Regards the comment about having to use an offspec to help the raid ... It only effects 4/5 members .. Rarther than change any system, lets work more on getting the main in doing the job they *should* be doing. Im just thinking this is a problem caused by somthing else. Better to fix the somthing else
