Acvtually, it's prompted me to mention something else we briefly discussed when we met to watch Gandy play with the servers.

We don't really need to raise as much funds the LAN as previously as the new subscription model has given us a buffer. We toyed with the idea of reducing the cost of attending the LAN for supporting members to a fiver but then figured not only was it Ã,£300 lost but also the work in collecting the money made it non-viable.

So perhaps we dispense with the auction. If people bring stuff then perhaps we have a free raffle instead and people can choose from the donations.

We're also not going to make money from the tankards. At most I may just round up the cost which will pay for Rob's tumbler.

Any thoughts?

just auction off any good items, no point not selling and making a bit of wedge from good stuff
