Looking into some notes for healing in heroic.. Its a work in progress so any help

THE BEASTS OF NORTHREND
6 healers min

Phase 1
4 healers all on the bosses target ââ,¬Â¦ rest raid heal
Levitate all the ranged/healers before the pull, stops snowbolds bomb bursting on the floor
Phase 2 Acidmaw and Dreadscale
2 tanks ââ,¬Â¦ 2 healers/tank with backup tank healers
Phase 3 Icehowel
1 tank ââ,¬Â¦ needing 3 healers ââ,¬Â¦ spread healers and dps even around , maybe use speed pots  to avoid the charge


LORD JARAXUS

Healers: pay attention to Incinerate Flesh
Mistress Kiss: Something new that healers may not be accustomed to is this debuff. If a healer gets it, the next spell they case gets interrupted. Not only that, the school of magic the interrupted spell belongs to gets locked out for several seconds.

A quick tip from Jim on the mistress kiss, if you 'fake cast' a opposite spell then it removes the kiss for you.

So, if it was my holy priest, I'd cast Mind Blast, which has a nice long cast time, wait until the cast is half way through and then I'd move to interrupt the cast. Job done

Not read all of this thread but:

Needs to be a different school afaiaa.  So fake casting any holy spell will lock you out of all holy spells.  If your priest has cast mind blast then shadow gets locked out and you can now heal holy without being locked out.

Strongly recommend using just 2 tanks as it allows an extra dps & it also allows PC healing to be better assigned.
One tank with decent enough block gear can handle all 4 adds.  One beacon and an earth shield pretty much heals an OT in this setup.
So do not DE your black gear or go run Naxx/Heroic VH etc etc again to get block gear.
Player health during P3 will also need to be significantly lower than 50%.  10% is closer to the mark, 1-2k HP is realistic.  Leech healing when the raid sits at 50% HP is massive, so health has to be lower.  He heals 30% of your HP during leech so if average raid HP is say 22k, then the raid has 550k hp and he heals for 30% of this, ie 165k hps which is greater than your raid dps, hence the need for way less than 50% hp.  To assist this we even cancel fortitude on all players except tanks & hunters.
This fight is a thread in itself, there are something like 8 guilds now working on Heroic Anub and not yet killed him, the devil really is in the detail for this fight and it needs a lot of understanding to develop the strategy that works for you.

Ahh, that was the trick . ok, so Holy Priests, make sure mind blast is easily accessible I'll tweak my post.

I thought the trick Jim mentioned was that it's sort of a glitch:

Rather than 'consuming' the spell by using something of a different school (hence triggering the usual spell's effect) like logic dictates, you can instead fool the game into thinking you've cast something while you actually haven't, somehow removing the Kiss but not actually locking you out of anything.

If I remember that's what he was on about. Not sure if this works though. Please confirm

Tirkad the Tirkinator you can fake cast the mistress's kiss but not get ya self locked... I found if you cast about 0.5 sec then cancel you'll get the buff to disappear

it was only as a response to Tirkad as he only has a holy tree for spells
