Those two teams have never been about race, nationality or creed. What a load of crap.

Two franchises with a deep history of sporting excellence and never once have they come across as derogatory. Where do we draw the line?

Don't know why you are bringing Blackhawks into this since no one is asking them to change their name, only the Redskins. There are a lot of teams with Indian ties in their name over the different US sports but the cry about name change is only on the Redskins because people have started seeing them name as a racial slur. I both understand why this is happening and that it is stupid but it is less stupid then the Hull City FC name change for example.

The story also mentions the Hawks as equally open to scrutiny. This world has no balls. The press are equally gutless. It's a sports team not a right wing political party. I guess the Detroit RedWings will be next? What about the Toronto BlueJays.. Aren't they also being derogatory towards birds? Perhaps they should all be named after inadament objects..

Also had like a Sinterklaas with his helper being being black which seems to be not good.

The Redskin logo has been there long before it was a football team, it was thier flag..just like the Mohawk flag, you want people to vote against 200 years. Give me a Break! Manchester United..what is that...Men from Chester that are united..look at that logo.
