probally be quitting wow soon either altogether or for a while

getting tired of the gearscore socity thats sprung up in wow, the fun that i used to enjoy seems to have gone out the game.

plz tell me where the social part of raiding/gaming has gone
its either ur dps is'nt high enuff for this boss or your gears not good enuff
i cant see wow getting better with the new expansion.

whats the fun in playing if i can can't progress?

Not sure what GS has to do with progress, that bit confused me.  Being bored of the game is one thing though, GS another.  Often just taking a short break helps.....

Just make your mind up one way or t'other and then post - an "I'm not sure" post helps nobody! :P

We all know about the state of the game at moment, especially Pugs and their adherence to GS, you just need to find the people who are intelligent enough to know it's total crap.

That said, looked at your warlock and hunter, I seriously doubt that any RL thinks you're under-geared for anything really.

If you've been dropped from DMR's raid group or PA's, then it's probably down to the fact that you're not getting the most of the equipment you have.

All that i can suggest you if you still want to enjoy wow is to be part of a community of some people who think and like to play the way you do. That does not mean you have to find it in guild (i for example have some rl friend who i love play with, and they're not in the guild) and often speaking the same language helps.

think i'll give wow a rest for a while on dmr
having fun playing bc2 instead

Your response actually made me do a real life /facepalm...

Sneakytiger

the honest truth is many people that i've raided with for so long have either left dmr or dont raid anymore, thats the fun in raiding its not the actual raiding its the fun you have with other people, tell me if i'm wrong but dmr seems to have gone from social raiding to hardcore raiding?
i know i've had distractions when raiding some times but dosent every1?
thats the reason while i'm quitting wow with dmr for now and concentrating on my lock on my old guild, its a damn shame cause i've really enjoyed the times i've had raiding with dmr

I have never noticed GS issues within the guild. Except for Lee is requiring 5.8K GS for [AnubÃ,´Rekhan Must Die!]

I can still see social part even if we raid - of course with the focus on the fight and people dont get angry in chat or TS. Well, maybe you can see people displeased after wipe caused by the same mistake for millionth time but that is understandable, I am not happy either in those moments.  Are you actually joining TS during off-raid times? Because I cant see how there is social part of the game missing, itÃ,´s fun to talk to other guys.

There is no boss in this game your gear is not high enough for. Regarding DPS: try to ask yourself a question: how much time have I spent at the target dummy (go to Darnassus/Exodar, they are always available) honing my skills and rotations? How much time have I spent reading posts of some established hunter/warlock bloggers and learning from it?

You have access to Cataclysm Alpha?:narnar:

Quote from: kracau;311332whats the fun in playing if i can can't progress?
Your characters can progress a lot - maybe not in means of getting new gear. There are so many things to do in WoW, I simply cant believe that you have done them all. And even then, I dont think fun is so tightly connected to progression but that is just my opinion.

You are wrong. We are VERY social guild when raiding. If we were hardcore guild, we would not be wiping in all possible ways on BQL because half of the people simply wouldnt be allowed there.
I dont want to be in hard core guild, that is why I am in dMR (Ovo previously) and have fun almost all the time when I am logged on

I simply wouldnt willingly choose to do something that I couldnt be able to find fun in, perhaps playing BC2 will help you with that ;)

wow.... you are soo wrong here, in a hardcore raiding guild you dont have people with DPS under the tanks at boss fights and still being able to come to the next upcoming raid.... I am not getting excited from the 25 mans anymore but thats not because of the guild is a hardcore raiding guild xD. I still think dmr is a great guild with a decent balance at social/raiding, (espescially at the 10 mans on LK).

But if you are gonna quit wow runescape might be a awesome game? dont think they have gearscore there?

Good luck!

Not sure I understand your thoughts there at all Krac, sorry but it doesn't make sense.  DMR is not a hardcore raid guild at all, not even close, but it does raid to make progress within the very limited socially acceptable hours it commits each week.  I'd recommend regular attendance on the TS3 server, there's almost always someone on it and a good social chat can be had at almost any time of day whether you are playing BC2 or WOW or another game.

You seem to be indicating that you have come under pressure for under-performance?  Well, I do not know specifics, but I'm sure you would have been offered and sought information yourself to improve those things.  The games not difficult to master if you just do a bit of research and then apply that information to your toon.  If it's distractions that are getting you in difficulty then it's maybe wise to sit out those raids where you know you cannot give full attention - some fights don't allow slack moments or the raid wipes.

Whatever you decide, DMR is still a fantastic social guild that raids for progress.  If you want hardcore, then DMR is not it.
