Slush

There is a link that I use when gathering gear:
http://elitistjerks.com/f73/t110351-%5Bferal-bear%5D_cataclysm_release/

In short:
All gems=Stam (Socket bonus is kinda useless, as its for cats.)
All reforge=Dodge

The Tanking rotation (from http://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/772933-The-Bear-Guide-Cataclysm-Edition Chapter 9)
Single targets:
FFF > Mangle > Laceratex3 > Pulverize > Mangle > Swipe > Laceratex2 > Mangle > Swipe > Laceratex1> Pulverize > Mangle > Swipe > Laceratex2 > Mangle > Swipe > Laceratex1 > Mangle > Swipe > Pulverize

Priority System:
Only use FFF at the start or need to reapply to the same or different target(s).
      Mangle whenever its off CD.

          * When you get a free mangle from the Berserk Proc throw it in first and then move on.

          * Keep up Demoralizing Roar, use every 30 seconds between Mangle and Swipe. (Extra time on Lacerate won't hurt at all.)

          * Pulverize to keep the 9% crit up, only pulverize at 3 stacks of Lacerate. (Use Pulverize every 12-18 seconds.)

          * Lacerate when Mangle and Swipe are on CD, keep it at 3 stacks.

          * Swipe when Mangle is on CD's and when Lacerate is at 3 stacks.

          * Use Berserk as needed or in the beginning of a fight for high threat.

          * Use Enrage as needed.

Read and use the macros in Chapter XVI in the link above. Utterly important :-D

As a newborn druid tank I must say. Expertise is crap. :)

I might take a look at my gear to find out if i am still able to tank, been a maintank in wotlk so i shouldn't have lost it all. Just have to catch up on the new abilities and when to use them.

Havn't checked it yet but what about hit raiting that the same as for a feral dps?

Treach

Updating this thread for you all:

http://elitistjerks.com/f73/t110351-feral_bear_cataclysm_release/

Now here's the stat priority:

Stam (till soft cap) > Agi > ac > Dodge > Mastery > Expertise (till soft cap) > Crit > Expertise/Hit

Stam soft caps: (the point where a boss spike damage hit wont kill you, all caps fully buffed)
HC: 150k
Raid: 175k
HC Raid 200k

Gear: Anything with Mastery is very desirable, reforge the other stat to dodge.
Gems: Stam mostly to hit your cap, but agi/stam(purp) and dodge/stam(green) are great for getting bonus stats.
Enchants, Follow the stat priority and you can't go wrong.

Rotation. Well more of a priority list:

Mangle (off cd)
Lacerate (1)
Dem Roar (if not on)
Lacerate (up to 3 stacks)
Thrash (off cd)
FF (off cd)
Lacerate

Maul when over 60 rage
Enrage off cd (if talented)
Berserk for high threat on pulls (more than 3 mobs you'll have to tab between each hit to keep aggro on all) and to help nuking.

AoE sequence is alot easier:
Swipe, Thrash, Swipe, then Dem Roar or Mangle. I find the TidyPlates addon is really useful for tracking multiple add aggro so I can use my Mangles on the lowest threat.

It's also useful to cast thorns before a pull.
NG is good for cc, epscialy when kiting adds. When you have comftable threat and no dots are on, pop it, now you have 3 mobs less hitting you and not attacking the raid :)

Oi. Thanks for this, Treach. Much appreciated.
