Slowest patch dowload ever ?

Hows the patch been for everybody ?
Mines a nightmare in slow motion, had it downloading in background for weeks and now I'm still only at 61%, only managed to get 14% overnight.
I'll be lucky to be playing by Xmas.

Any others struggling or got an answer to speed it up.

Mine had pre-downloaded no problems and installed right away when I loaded WoW this morning. The only thing I noticed a while back was that the range of ports needed for WoW seemed to be wider than when it first came out and I had to edit & extend the port range as per the Blizzard Downloader FAQ. Might be worth checking that you have all the available ports forwarded correctly?

no problems here, left it checking it and had berakfast and walked the dog and its come up as playable, shame there are no servers up

One thing is to download the patch a completley other story is installing the damn patch.

Never been very successful with mirror sites but thnx for the suggestion,
Had more luck with the Blizz FAQ and opening more ports has sped things to a sensible level.

Download was simple enough and completed a few days ago. Install was a disaster and failed multiple times. As per Blizzard FAQ I removed the WOW directory and am using the new downloader-installer. I 'hope' it will do it's thing overnight and be installed by the morning?

I think part of the delays was the additional 1.1GB patch released yesterday that people then found they had to download before connecting. My patch went in fine, then I found the extra 1.1GB and was stuffed until this morning. I had not noticed it downloading more after the original patch installation so at the time I thought I was all done and dusted - how stupid of me!

Likewise, I can get in the game now (although no cinematics yet) and then suddenly I have another massive 1 gig patch to download. 9 gigs downloaded so far. Virgin Media will love me.

My speed up was only temporary, slowed to a crawl after 20 mins, just seems to pulse from 0kbs to about 12kbs and never any higher.
Looks like I may have to risk the Mirrors, not holding out much hope, needed a full reinstall last time I tried them, wish me luck.

Well 5 and a half hours of downloading from Mirror site and a grand total of 43%, I really need a /Hug now

Finally finished dowload at around 3.30am, got up aound 7 and got installed, up and running around 9am,
then entered addon hell as useual (to be fair my own fault for needing my UI to look pretty).

Sold my 24k of arrows for 30s a stack to vendor, Happy days.

Bought some glyphs and spent 4hrs fiddling with shiney new UI and coming up with a shot rotation (maybe it works maybe it dont) time and a Boss or 2 will show up any cracks,

So, "Bring it on Cata", "Badges ? we dont need no stinkin badges"
