Some people were asking about this again today so I have put a post here to direct you all to an online gallery of the photos from the LAN.

WARNING: All photos taken are on here so there will be duplicates and bad photos which really shouldn't be worthy of your time in browsing.

As a few of the thumbnails were corrupted during import its probably best to view the pictures in a slide show by clicking here (Not for slower connections as it downloads the 18MP image). This is currently hosted on my personal site which represents me as a professional (till I transfer my other more casual domains across to my new web host) so please treat the site with a bit of respect. Feel free to comment in the gallery (as long as its relatively clean) or link to the photos on this forum.

If people want to download photos you can do so by highlighting the photo you want using the built in cart functionality and the Gallery will prepare a zip for you containing the 18mega-pixel JPG images. If you would like to do this please do not add more than say 30 images at a time as it cripples the sever somewhat by using all of the RAM. To do this go to the Gallery without the slideshow here (Images with corrupted thumbnails work fine but you will need to click the icon to load the new page and see the image).

The CR2 files are available on request for those of you who are better at post processing than me and have the hours to spare to clean everything up and enhancing everyone manhood (apart from Fi). These photos are JPG conversions of the untouched CR2.

I have learnt many things from being photographer at the dMw XIX LAN.
  • To User a higer ISO than 800 and not to worry about the CCD senstivity (noise) I will aim to get a shutter speed of at least 50-100 even in the most dingy and darkest of corners. Next time I am taking photos in that light I will crank the ISO up to 1600 or 3200 when needed as you all move way to fast even with a really fast wide lens that lets lots of light in.
  • You are all really impatient, next time I will be cracking the whip a bit more to get the shots that "I WANT" and you all ultimately will appreciate too. "Shut up and sit still" blah blah blah.
  • When attempting to take photos of TL bring camo gear, a long telephoto lens and a computer box style hide and running shoes to make a quick exit.

Enjoy everyone.
