not sure. but did anyone check boss health after we got done with the first round? I think it was around 75%?
If this is the case we are not gonna make it with 2 waves we would need to have a 3rd one.

Can anyone confirm ( or tell me im wrong :P )?

Twyst

Yes, it was arond the 75-76% mark I think.

I think the boss' hp will go down more once the raid gets used to the fight and will react more smoothly and with less mistakes.

EDIT: we can't give whitey more room to kite than that, right? Becouse the problem last time seemed to be whitey being oneshotted down by 9 adds.

Last run deaths:

Try #:
1: MT in sludge
2: Ranged in Sludge followed by OT melee death
3: Healer in sludge followed by OT melee death, then Scorching Blast target ran wrong angle
4: MT forgets to interrupt Storm
5: Scorching Blast target not moving,  OT melee death
6: Ranged in sludge then missed Storm interrupt prior to Consuming Flames leading to wipe

All of the above can be fixed.
Most of the above is self-inflicted.

Let's rise to the challenge.  We slow better, kite better, move better, interrupt better.  In short, let's win!

DPS:
Iirc on our better goes we pushed towards 70% before the end of the rotation, so we'll only get better from there.  The break points are to push into P2 either (i) before the end of a 3rd black phase, or (ii) during a 3rd green phase.  If we don't make (i) then (ii) is where we'll head, there's no inbetween as we don't want a P2 with adds up.  We'll get a better idea of where we are once we get through 2 full cycles as we pick up a lot of extra dps time between cycles and at the end of each green/black phase.

Re Whytee and the Aberrations:
Warlcok AOE stun once we get to a 9 adds (Whytee can call when he needs it to run past to get separation again)
Option to Hubbah DS to pull one out, then FD for it to return to Whytee
Option for Twisted to taunt one off, then have Whytee taunt it back before it gets close to Twisted
Focus Sheepy more on slowing/CC help than dps.
Hubbah kiting with Whytee to split load.

Think we need to work on what we have and to use it better.

Re Twisted and breaths during black phase
Need to watch where breaths are pointing, ie not towards raid dps who are killing the little adds!
Extra HP might have been an issue to help survive Engulfing Flame breath, still checking numbers here, but I suspect we just need better focus on topping MT to full HP prior to each breath.  Combined with AMS on 1st & 4th plus some other CDs on 2nd & 3rd we should survive this each time without a problem.

Black Phase
DPS is fine.
Might be a good idea for ranged to move out of mid during this phase to allow healers more freedom and less sludge.  ie if boss is in front of us at pull then move to right of boss and far side of where Whytee will kite adds so that we are DPSing from behind the kite path and well away from healers.

Red Phase:
Scorching Blast during red phase: 850k split amongst 8 people (1 OT out and 1 with debuff out) = 106k per person before mitigation.  If we run with only 7 in the group it hits for 121k per person which is verging on unhealable, so we can't have a 3rd person out during red phase (ie nobody dies, nobody is out of position).
If involved in slows/kiting/stunning of Aberrations or healing of Whytee then during red phase debuff runs towards Whytee not away!

Blue Phase:
Looked good and in control with Hubbah on the flash freeze and the target calling out for it to be removed when healed up.

P2
MT needs to be quick in repositioning boss after each cast, very little time between casts to get it right.  Best video I saw had MT with boss facing wall, at point cast started the MT immediately moved oor and alongside the boss, so at end of cast boss turned 90 degrees and moved towards the MT (ie out of flame line just cast) and then MT immediately strafed back to wall to turn boss to wall again.  Almost immediately the next cast started and the cycle repeated.  Need to be prepared for this speed and accuracy of boss placement when we get to P2.

Raid Comp
Right now whilst we are getting a grip on this fight I think we need:

Jesung for AOE and stuns
Sheepy for help with slows/kiting
Hubbah for help with slows/kiting
...any other ranged is optional

The rest is open to swap people around imo.

PRO TIP from JAS
Install the addon called GTFO from Curse.  You get a warning buzzer when you are standing in sludge (or anything else).  I installed it and tried it for the first time the other night after I struggled in our first night to simultaneously VT/SWP & Flay all 6 adds *and* move quickly enough out of sludge.   The addon has passed trial with me and made it into my standard addon list.  Highly recommended - and thanks Jas for pointing me to it.  Go get it!

Might it be an idea to position as we do for Blue phase to give Whitey a bigger kite path?

TeaLeaf

Kite path is not an issue atm in Black phase imo, adds are going down fine.
