First 45 minutes to an hour: AMAZING!

Rest of the film (hour and a half): slow paced shoehorned together badly written dross.

Wait for DVD I reckon, defo not worth the £15 in the cinema...

Sounds as if it's going to be much like the third film where I am sure they got the actors together and began filming before they had written the script. Movie rumours suggest the rest of the 3rd films shoot was dogged by Keira Knightley's agents endlessly fighting to get her a a bigger role with more action sequences. Hence the whole King (Queen) of the Pirates nonsense.

What amazes me is that Johnny Depp, who usually is very careful about the roles he takes continues to turn up for these sequels. It's not like he needs the money. That being said even the worst (3rd film) was passable on DVD so I'm sure I'll end up watching it at some point.

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

That was the frustrating thing, the first 45 mins had me thinking this was going to be the best one yet.

Then suddenly a couple of subplots get shoe-horned in, the whole pace of the story drops, and it all becomes a bit poo.

As a result of that, the ending (which would have worked if the film carried on in the vein of the first 45) doesn't really fit. And of course leaves it open for POTC 5, which already has rumours of a screenplay.
