Now the premiership has sunk off the radar, and the season crawls toward the close, I signed off from Eastlands managing the crew and joining in for commentary from the Blue Square play-off final.
Not shabby for press facilities, nice little lounge with sandwiches and coffee (Millwall offered beer too, however) and stadium-wide wifi with 14Mb both ways.
Managed to get a lucky pic with an old flame

Game itself was painful, both sides unwilling to play as well as they could and riding their luck with the woodwork featuring a few times. Extra time went the same way and it ended up with kicks from the penalty mark.
The best bits
BBC London used "my" coverage to intro their non-league show last night.
Been quite a season, and hopefully a good one next time too.

Congratulations Geoff:yahoo:
I thought that you might pop up after seeing the result on TV. Well done in supporting a team who the pundits said would never make it back to the league.
On a constructive point, please try to impart more passion in your commentaries.

P.S On a personal note, I would like to thank you for throwing the last game of the season in the dMw Head-to-Head league, thereby allowing me to win.:D

Um, git?

Long day, 400 mile round trip leaving at 0700 and 4 hours on the mic, plus keeping the whole show on the air. Got home at 0130. Tiring game to commentate on, extra time just went mental toward the end and we've got no fingernails or lower arms left.
Feel sorry for Lutom, who've been done over by the authorities too. Would have been better if we'd both gone up and Crawley stayed done. Or ceased to exist. Many people deserved our success and I've never seen more men crying in one place. Off to further build my media empire now.
