Battlefield3 Public BETA - breakdown of details and download links

Battlefield 3 Public BETA will run from September 29th to October 10th.
There is no limit to the number of people downloading and playing the BETA and the full unlock tree is open (everything) so you could (if you put in the hours) unlock all classes!
There will be only One game mode - Rush - on the same 32 player map as the Alpha, "Operation Metro" (sorry, no 64 player map or jets). However, Operation Metro has undergone changes since the alpha.
The install will be a little under 3GB.
The net-code has been re-written from the alpha trial, whether that's total re-write or optimisation isn't clear.

People (like me) who bought Medal of Honour don't need their DVD to play the BETA early, as long as they are using the same EA account - Origin pre-orderer's (is that a word?) and Medal of Honour owners get access to the BETA 48h earlier, on September 27th. :yahoo: BUT! It's not too late! If you want early access, you can pre-order on Origin before September 25th and get early access - you have three days!.
   
Origin is required to play the BETA on PC. :g:

Statistics and ranks will not carry over into the final game. So enjoy, don't stress - those bullets won't count!

The BETA is not feature complete yet (for the PC at least). The BETA won’t include all the graphics features which will make it in the final version. The details of what those are and the reason for this hasn't been given.
