Video Creation - We need footage!!

Hey guys,

I wanted to update you on some results of the GL and CL meeting we had on Monday.

In addition to the community survey that has been commissioned, the Clan Leaders are looking at putting together a template for promotional videos that would "top and tail" any footage that we may have. The overriding factor is that the footage must be inline with our ethos of Teamwork, Tactics and mature gameplay. To that end, I wanted to run something by you guys.

Next week, I'd like to schedule Friday night for us to collect that footage. I need all of the admin's committment and availability and I also want to promote this to all of our BF3 players past and present.

Can you please confirm your availability on Friday 13.1.12 from 8pm?

If we can get the server filled, we can get some footage of good tactical gameplay and then bring it together and make a video to be put forward for sign-off by the CL's. Once we are agreed as admins, I will post something up in the BF3 forum.

Also, what are your thoughts on putting together an 8-man party and crashing another server, squading up and putting together some footage of that as well?

I think you should also think about res you are all going to record in,as well

Highest possible would be good, up to 1080p quality which is the maximum Youtube will host.

Agreed if you can't get that height then something that is the same ratio only smaller will look better when recoding.

Frapps is very good and will record voice comss as well I may have a spare licence if you need one.

Anyone who hasn't got FRAPS or PLAYCLAW can download OVERWOLF free from the TeamSpeak website - this will give you in-game voip HUD and video/screen capture.

I have been capturing game-play footage since before Christmas for Toby, but there's not a HUGE amount of action, as the server has been very quiet and I don't much play anywhere else..
