DZ signing off from BF3 for a while

The game is too frustrating for me.

I find myself getting angry and whiny on TS about pubs and dMw members alike over stuff that in the grand scheme of things is not important in terms of life. Its not fun for you guys to listen and its no fun for me to play so I think I will just give it a break for a while.

Its a shame as its a stunningly beautiful game.

I'm feeling pretty much the same way DZ, I've only played it a bit & I just find myself getting annoyed at the game & the way we seem to play it.

I can see people getting annoyed at RPG monkeys, as I call them, using the RPG as their primary weapon. It is a great tool to use when you have multiple targets together in tight spaces, but some players do seem to use it excessivly, and I've been told this goes not just for publics. On that note I would like to ask everyone in dMw to try their best to play according to our ethos, especially those wearing the tag.

Also if you do find a fellow dMw member doing something unfitting or you see trends that you do not like. Take it up with the member or on the forums. I know DA got some comments about using the RPG last night, when he actually killed them with a shotgun at close range as an RPG shell hit. Also at some point last night I apparently shot Faust fairly close to their spawn when I was defending on a rush map. I didn't realize though, but he just let me know on TS in a polite manner, and that was the end of it.

So if there is something you don't like or would like to see gone from our server, bring it to the forum, create a discussion. It's fine to be annoyed at stuff, but unless you bring it up you probably won't see it changed. I would like to add though, that it is the opinion of many if not all admins that we don't want to restrict weapons. The RPG, the mortar and grenade launchers are all part of the game and they have their uses. Like anything else it can be abused though, but I feel the current rules on their use are enough. Though I will encurage community memebers to try to avoid using the RPG as a 1on1 weapon. We are supposed to be a tactical community. If there are 2 or 3 guys up ahead, your squad has 4. Move up, flank them , put down supressive fire and wipe them out

Rockets are for blowing non organic things up imo, though if an engineer suffers while repairing a tank, I'm not going to feel bad about it

It seems sometimes we get caught up in the pubby way of playing, when we start up the server and play with 6 to 20 people the teamplay seems quite good but around 25 people on the server hell seems to brake loose for some reason, almost like a frag daze..

I wouldn't think twice about shooting my rpg/smaw at infantry if they're out of range of my shotty (so anything 30m+ away) if I'm under attack.
It's also good for shooting into the mcom to prevent setting or defusing.
Is that wrong?

Sorry to see you are fragged off with bf3 DZ & Sneaky...
The best way to have an enjoyable time is to squad up on TS as well as in-game, and work as a team.
Me, Gmj, TE & a random pubby ripped the oppo a new one last night simply by good teamwork.

DZ ... give it time. I feel your pain. Im still trying to find the best way to play as a team, where to spawn ,what class is needed, should i go in or be a spawn for the team. Its still quite new and im looking to fridays for some direction on how it should be done. The best games i have had so far are with dmw spawning together, holding positions ect. Most of the time tho I end up in a random squad and just try to do my best. I usualy just end up pulling my hair out as my team scatters around a map. The game has some great teamwork potential tho its lacking some tools to help bring it out. Coms / comander orders / swad size

As for how we play as dMw if it feels wrong it usualy is.... If what you are doing you are doing as a squad its usualy ok....

I am back baby!!!

As long as I don't get dragged into work related American mess ups this evening I will be up for some BF3 dMw vs the world action.

Take it easy on me though as its been a long time and my virginity has been regained!

Looking forward to seeing you all soon, lots to talk about as i have missed you BF3 guys.
