Anyone know how to fire flares from the heil gunners seat?

Under Heli or on foot?  I had to unmap evrything to get my joystick working.  When in the gunners seat i'm using the mouse which isn't mapped for heli so i'm guessing it counts as on foot?

IIRC the cooldown is shared with the pilots flares, that may be why it wasnt working.

It's not. You just have to have flares as your perk, and then release as you wish. I've dropped flares moments after the pilot before.
