Recommended Best Practice

(1) When you join the game for the first time, take a while to examine the teams, team members and scores in the context of the map to see which side needs your help. Join the team that needs your help even if it is not your preferred side for 'that' map.

(2) When a map changes, alternate between T & CT each time - most other players do this. You'll get to know your team mates better over a period of maps, not just a few rounds. You also get to understand the firing lines on the maps better if you play them from both sides.

(3) Keep an eye on the score. If, as described in the California Penal Code, you see a 220 in progress (Assault with intent to mayhem/rape/sodomy/oral copulation) then you should talk to your team members about changing sides to rebalance the teams. Sometimes it just needs 1 player from each side to swop, other times you'll need to play 7 against 4 to make it equal.

Good gameplay is what it is all about. Let's keep it that way!

TL. 8)

If the score is even and the team is even by numbers, join CT on DE and AS maps and T on CS maps. I think this is a good guideline.

If (3) is in progress always join the rapees instead of the rapers. You might get lucky ;)

(4) Ask if you are unsure. If you joined the "wrong" side switch asap.
