size of operations?

What is the guild aiming for on the size todo operations?

8 or 16? or 2x 8 or?

2 to 4 X 8 to begin with then those groups would merge into 16 man groups, this is mostly due to 16mans possessing extra phases and tactics etc plus they require people to be slightly better geared then someone having hit 50 and run HM FP.

Right now, the 8 man teams have it easier than 16 man teams dude to 8 man being under-tuned or 16man being over-tuned.
Here's a snippet from a recent dev interview

I read in the Developers interview that they had made 16 man slightly easier than 8 as it was harder to organise and control the larger number of players? No idea if that has any real validity but it appears to be the official line.

I think this is a bit of a way on for getting it going what with the second group not yet formed but it would be nice to try it 16 man.

16man would require both groups to be at the same stage of equipment and skill level, as a nightmare team wouldnt want to do 16man normal due to no gain from it, 2 hardmodes could do 16man EV on hard which be no issue, at current tho only viable teams are 2 X 8 man

It's certainly something to aim for. We're going to have to live with a difference in group progress for a while at least. I'm hopeful that the differences will become less as the other group/groups advance and we can combine groups and complete 16 man content soon.
