Hi all, not sure how many of you actually use MSN Plus...

Well, in the original instal, you could do a custom install and choose not to have this :

By this, i mean the weird annoying menu thing underneither the normal IE stuff...

Now i can turn it off with right click and unticking the thing, but it will only come back once i reconect again...

Obviously i didn't have this problem before with the original install, because i chose not to install it, but MSN Plus updates and well, in the custom install i did not see the choise of not having it this time, and i'm wondering if anyone knows how i can removeit manually through windows or something?

Please help me peeps, its one of those really annoying things that jsut dig at you all the time :(

Asked a friend of mine who uses MSN plus and he said the following.

well it looks like he turned off the file edit view favourites thing first off all

he needs to reactivate that first of all

then its in view/toolbars

cant remember how to turn that on, hold on

im TANGOed if i can see it, i know if you right/click in certain parts of the thing at the top you can do most of it in there

well tbh...
What i've shown you there, are short cuts of what he's said...
and the "file, view edit " etc, they are there, its just i didn't put them in the images because there was no need...
The "Search" bar is infact not part of the microsoft program, well its not in the "view>toolbars>customise" section.

Also, if i de-tick it in the view>toolbars or by my right clicked "picture" example, it still comes back later, so i need to know some way of removing THAT part of the program :(

Help meh pweeeease

If the search bar isn't a component of MSN then you may well have a bit of scumware on your PC (i.e. an application that you didn't ask for but that just installed itself anyway).

Try downloading Spybot Search and Destroy (do a google search cause I on't have the link to hand). Do an online update to make sure you have all the latest protection and then scan your PC (bit like anti-virus). Hopefully Spybot will find the offending application and clean it off your PC.Then just run Spybot once a month to make sure you don't pick anything else up

You could also try Ad-Aware which does the same thing.

Hope this helps

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

IF anyone is still having this problem also, i've found a fix for it, prob not the desired one, but it worked for me...

Hope i helped someeone else for once :P

You probably still have the scumware on your PC though. If you want to remove it completely then see my last post  :)
