1.58GB For the patch

Game news:

We have finalized the development of patch 0.7.0 which will be deployed for testing by players in two waves starting this upcoming Monday. We will be giving a break for new players and allowing them a one week head start in order to get acquainted to the game in order to minimize the frag fest by players with previous playing experience.

So to recap, starting on Monday the 18th at 11am UK time, new players will be able to login and play.

A week after, starting next Monday the 25th, all previous players will be able to login with their original accounts (they will keep their previous XP and inventory) and the session will continue on a 24 hour 7 day basis at this point.

I've played it for about 30-40 mins here is my view on it.

Firstly it's still in beta so i'm not expecting great things from it just yet but it does have to iron a few things out before I'll consider it worthy of being a game I dedicate my gaming time too. These things are as follows;

Pros
1)Decent Futuristic  Looking Graphics.
2)Customise your solider with the guns/attachments/armour/etc etc they way you want too by spending the points you earn during the matches.
3)Online squad play - Not sure if there is any other type of game modes (for example team deathmatch where your not in a squad) but squad play promotes teamwork and tatics.
4)It's fun.
5)Almost forgot its FREEEEEEEEE

Cons
1)Rounds seem too short and are often timed rather than score based which I liked in COD game modes.
2)Game engine is not 100% Stable - Odd bits of lagg/game freeze.
3)I've found some Glitches and have only played it for a short time.
4)Sniper rifles are way over powerd and you cant hold your breath to steady aim although this does not make much difference as the scope doesnt move all that much.
5)Cant change your class while in a game/match (you pick the class you want before you enter a match sniper, assualt and 1 other class i cant remember).
6)"Special Perks/ability/powers" - Whatever you want to call it I dont enjoy Shooting games where you can turn invisibile etc I dont see the point & It's a disadvantages to new players as you have to unlock them (which takes some gameplay.)

So far that's all I've found & My first impressions are OK about 5/10 for this atm but saying that I've not played all that much and it would be interesting playing with some people from dMw and really incoperate teamwork as I think this will work wonders in this game.

At the moment I dont think it will surpass BF3 For my gaming time but it is a nice different shooting title thats out/coming out compared with the mainstream/popular FSP games.

Any game developer that is offering a game like this for FREE deserves alot of credit - I dont think it will be an overly popular game but it's a good all rounder and as long as it stays FREE I can see it gaining popularity. Having said that I have the thought in the back of my mind that it wont stay free for very long (Somthing along the lines of pay £ for Points to spend on customising your solider etc etc...).
