Curses

I  updated to curse 5 and it does not work

I run Avg and Commodo both hate curse. I have disabled both and still no joy. I have even researched the FAQ on the curse site . Soooo
What other wow add on platform do you recommend .

Curse 5.1.1.370 running fine here, which I know is of no help to you.  It got updated a while back iirc so it is not a new update.   Have you tried completely uninstalling Curse, doing a reboot, then trying to reinstall Curse?   Sounds like the problem is on your system perhaps and not with Curse.   Afaiaa there is no other comparable alternative for addons, it's Curse or manual updates.
