Last few weeks we have been limping along just making attendance to pull 10 people on line at the same time to run a raid. At the same time we i am getting /w people interest from within the guild

so

switch
odds
swed

they are all looking for a place in rgt  ....

can we offer them anything? support / backup / roll share/

all could make the attendance level we set 2/3 raid nights

The  nwe healer can only make 2/3 raids . We got him in on trail.........

We need to be very care full that we don't set a double standard here (i think we have)

For me .... I really don't care about progression as long as its fun. Its just a bonus if we do well (and we are doing very well so im a very happy bunny)

switch and swed are good but they would need fluff up a bit to be inline with our current team (they may not hit the mark)

It kind of brings the question to us .........do we push or do we say this is us ?  food for thought on sunday  hic

We got a thread up on swede already and as we have said in that and I even think TL spoke to him and came to the understanding that he is not performing at the right levels dps wise and he also seems to be a bit slow in addapting to new tactics and scenarios that can come up during a fight. Don't get me wrong he is a nice guy but as a pure dps I'm not sure he can cut it as a full time member in RGT and being a backup seemed fine with him:

Quote from: TeaLeaf;371325Spoke to Swede about it tonight.  He'd seen the shout for a ranged dps so I covered it off with him.   He's interested in the spot but could not provide 100% performance, over the summer he'd be fine but when his Italian lessons restart after summer even when they're moved to an earlier start tiem would still mean him missing an hour or so of at least 1 raid per week.   Talked about performance levels and he knows he has not always hit the mark.   Also mentioned we're still not sure what class we'd actually take and it could be ele shaman, mage or boomkin.   He knows it's a long shot but he also now knows it is less likely he would get it.

I think switch is a bit the same with dps levels and although he can probably be pushed to the right dps levels with some guidance and practice I'm not entirely sure about how his attitude is since he can be a bit rude at times and he seems to drink a bit to much a bit to often in my opinion.

With regards to Odds I'm not sure about him, he seems to swap character alot and thats normaly fine if your good at them but he seems to be about "avarage" on them and I don't think thats enough to validate a spot as of right now since we are starting on heroics.

Thats my :2cents: ofc and you might some up with a different look on it when you talk tonight but atleast I've made my opinion known :P if you come up with something during your chat you can inform me after the raid or something.
Maybe there\'s something to be said for being different. We are who we are. What more could we ask for?

What exactly happened last night then to prompt switch's post or was that the usual random coincidence?

It's quite easy to say you want to raid, but delivering a satisfactory performance or playing a useful role is quite another.

Switch listens to our TS and that probably gets his juices flowing, but he had otherwise never really had time to raid or prepare.  He lost his spot in RGT precisely because he could not perform well.  His dps only looked good in rgw because everyone else was so horrendous.

Odd and Swede have similar issues, Swede I'd probably the slightly better but only just.

So, the big question is the one Jas asked:  what do you want to be?

Its started on friday ... switch/swed/oddd all asking to be considered for a spot. I said i would wait till we are all back and have an officer chat hence my post

I think smiz hads opened up concerns (why him/not me type thing)

We will probs end up having "the coversation" with switch/odds regarding performance

Swed i think is happy with the backup spot. Im greatfull hes doing it

I was looking to get the alt run running friday. I think LFR and one normal run /week would be much more the level of commitment that they can realistically achieve. As it showed switch/odds never turned up despite all the requests to raid (this may be the way to see commitment and performance)

QuoteI really don't care about progression as long as its fun
The problem in slow progress and wipe nights soon become not fun. We are in a good position raid wise and we could just about take in 1 dps. Then we are full. Calling the raids we never want but something unusual has happened with guru (im concerned hubber may have said something again to wind him up as hes gone dark)
