My pet has 142 training points. what are these, can I use them?

How do I equip throwing knives and use them?
Can I use a shield should I get one or have an off hand blade or fist weapon?
Are guns better than bows?

You'll find, close to your trainer, a pet trainer.

You can get things like resists and extra armour and health from a pet trainer.

These will take up points on your pet. You also have the skills that other animals in the wild teach you which can also be taught to certain pets. All of these take up points, so choose wisely.

Aye I bought the extra arcane resistance, but it doesn't show up on Ken so figured I'd have to apply it?

you do yes. There should be, in your spell book a little stick icon. That's the pet training thing.
