...is rumored to have 64bit Processor, but a more recent rumor suggests it will also have a 4K screen!

I have not seen a 4K TV yet, but many have said it is epic!

But this may also mean they will not use the curved screen technology that keeps showcasing :(

Seriously... 4k on a phone? It's cool and everything but I don't see the point. This phone of mine is 1080p, and for the screen size, I don't see it getting much 'better'. Wouldn't they be better off increasing the horsepower, so devs can actually do more with the screen they have? Just seems to be a sort of silly pixel race between phone makers atm

I'm equipped with a pair of human eyes and not the eagle version, so I'm fairly certain I won't be able to see any difference at all between Hi-def and 4K. I'm not at all sure I can see the difference between 720p and 1080p either?

Manufacturers are all about numbers and differentiation from the competition. I remember I once did a day or market research for an anonymous mobile phone manufacturer (probably LG). It was to test their new 3D mobile that didn't need special glasses. It was going to become the next leap forward in mobile technology and would set the manufacturer apart as the new Apple. In fact it became nothing and 3d mobile tech died as fast as it was born. I think ridiculous screen resolutions and insane megapixel cameras (41mb, come on Nokia be sensible) will probably go the same way. we can always make hardware faster and bigger and better. But sadly at the moment we can't do the same for humans. I thing certain aspects of tech have reached the limit of what people can appreciate and screen resolution is one of them.

I seriously doubt they will put 4k in a commercial phone. it will be seriously expensive and all of those pixels will mean poor performance in terms of GFX as the current Gen of mobile GFX will be pretty poor performance wise with that much of as res jump. The amount of GFX ram that would need to be in this would be 8gig plus for a decent frame rate.

I dont see this working and being smooth!

Pixels cost battery power. They gain very little in terms of user experience. I doubt 4K will hit standard phones for quite some time. I hope it does though because that'll bring down the cost of small dense displays for applications like the Oculus Rift where resolution matters and battery doesn't really.

As far as the MP race in cameras...the Nokia camera is one of the best out there. The numbers themselves are virtually meaningless, but oversampling to such a large extent, on a physically large sensor leads to great images. The sooner other manufacturers just increase sensor size and add active image stabilisation the better. It's 2013, dedicated compact cameras shouldn't exist, it should be a choice between DSLR or phone.

Nokia probably make the best camera phones of any manufacturer. If they made Android phones I'd be in heaven. But 41mp is in the medium format area and those cameras have sensors measured in square inches and shoot through lenses that cost more than a medium sized family car. Nokia produce a 41mp and where happy to let consumers think 41mp meant better photos than an 8mp phone,  which isn't necessarily the case. 41mp makes digital zoom something other than a nasty experience. But that's about effective zoom in a wafer thin phone not stunning picture quality. The Nokias great picture quality comes from good optics and a quality image processor. What annoys me is the lie that the mobile phone industry suggests more pixels means better pictures. My pro camera is 12mp but utterly wipes the floor with the Nokia 1020. They should be more honest. It's easy to sell up a phone with stunning screen resolution and mp count, just not honest IMHO.
