With the launch of the 5.4 patch some new raiding options will become open to DMR members.   When the patch goes live, in addition to the normal LFR & Normal/Heroic mode raid locks, there will be a new option: 'Flex Raid'.

Flex Raid will be open to a pre-made group of betwen 10-25 people and the boss HP, damage etc will scale in accordance with how many people are in the raid.  

-the overall difficulty of the Flex raid will be somewhere between LFR and Normal mode raids
-the ilevel of loot will be greater than LFR, but less than that dropped in Normal mode raids
-the Flex Raid is on a separate, third raid id (so you could do LFR, Flex & Normal/Heroic in the same week)

Regular DMR Flex Raid
DMR intend to run a guild Flex raid once per week, perhaps on Friday evening.   It will be open to all Guild members (ie both RGT & Social members).  The guild Flex raid will primarily be a social raid, to have fun, but that also means it will be run as a raid so that you can have fun whilst also achieving some raid success, so that means:
-you bring food, flask & pots
-you know your toon (not just how to login, but how to play it to a decent raid standard!)
-you show up at the raid having done some prior research and know something about the fights (don't expect to be spoonfed as it's not a fair use of the your fellow raiders' time!)
-we'll post logs on our World of Logs web page for your information after each raid, just as we would for an RGT raid
-you play your main toon (alts might eventually be allowed, but we want to *progress* each week, not gear different toons each week on the same few bosses)

**if you bring a scrub toon without enchants, without gems, without effort then expect to be excluded from the DMR Flex raid**

We have not yet decided who will run these raids, but we will be asking people to help out to lessen the load on officers.  Please do your best to help out if asked.

Certainly in the early weeks we expect to see a large number of RGT raiders taking advantage of this opportunity to get higher ilevel gear and additional encounter experience, so it is a good chance for Social members to get some good raid experience alongside our regular raiders.

Impact on RGT Recruitment
For those interested in raiding within DMR as part of RGT, please continue to let Officers know of your interest.   However with Flex raiding you will now have a tool through which you can gear up, obtain better encounter knowledge and regularly demonstrate to Council your raid potential & capabilities.   This will help both members and Council decide who is capable of exceeding the minimum standards required for an RGT raid spot.
