So after 7 years of faithful service my Television is beginning to die its death, with several of the speaker nodes (i call them nodes) having blown, and a few dead pixels ive decided to replace it!

Currently using a 27inch Sony TV (really good quality for its age) with my 27 Inch Dell Ultrasharp, and I would like to now query the technical minds of Dead Men Walking on a decent Television (27 Inch maybe a tad more due to space but 27 mostly due to uniformity) to replace my aging Sony.

Price range - between 250 - 400, less is obviously welcome also
requirements - HDMI port for Xbox 360 (cant use a PC monitor due to 480pi resolution for dashboard etc)
PC Input due to using it for watching Iplayer etc
and the usual standard ports of course :)

Dont really want a smart telly unless its decent quality but anything is worth a suggestion :)

Thanks in advance anyone who replies.

The new LG LED 32" 1080p TV is a good buy, if you can find a LCD in the same model, you could probably get it cheap. The LCD tends to put out more heat, but if you're not using it as a monitor then N/P. I've had my LCD 32" 1080p LG for 3 years now with no issues (2 HDMI Ports as well as DIMI and RGP)

Good Hunting :)

32LN5700 is the model of the 32" LED 1080p w/smart TV $549.00 USD

32LN530B is the 32" LED 720p no smart TV $399.00 USD

Notsure what country you're in but here's the UK link for LG http://www.lg.com/uk/tvs

Good hunting, but I can say LG has been my screen for years and have always been happy with the product.

I went looking for a TV with a budget a few months ago. I ended up with a Sony at 20% higher price than intended. I love it. Amazing picture. I recommend a Sony any day.

LG are great value for money, well worth a look but do your homework before stumping up any dosh.

I would reccomend a dig through avforums.com to see what other buyers are saying.
