I got's me an idea to really boost the folding!!

What would you say if i could get my school it person to put F@H on all of my schools computers, thats about 200 and they have an average processor speed of about 500-600mhz so that would be 100ghz!!! of folding and the computers run  about 9-10hrs a day for 50weeks a year, i bet that would put us up the rankings wouldnt it!, ill Have a word and try get it sorted.

Aye, if they are happy to have it installed then it would certainly help.  There are many academic institutions that are happy to run it, but some others that are not.  Check with the Head of the IT department/school and see what happens - you'll need to sell them the medical research and open source nature of the work.  Good luck!

I found at university the administrators of the basic year computers already ran their own little program.. and what sucked was it didnt just run on unused cpu power, but actually moved into the other apps power, so all apps ran like shit.. so we tried like crazy to disable it

But alot of acadamec love to have thoose things running, perhaps even on some of the smaller server that have spare cpu power.. so check in first to be suer

Im going back this monday so ill write a letter to the head , (my dads a govner so ill get sum leverage lol)also i just found out that its about 400 computers so thats 200ghz so they would take a while o get going but theyd all finnish around the same time so youd get a sudden infulx of WU's.
