I found this mildly amusing.

The new Macbook Pro line up announced has not upgraded its headphone socket to lightning, so owners of the iphone7 will not be able to switch their headphones from one to the other.

You can buy a adapter from Apple to convert an aux to lightning socket (so normal headphones can work), but you can't get a lightning to aux adapter, so your iphone7 headphones/earbuds are not usable on the new Macbooks.

The 6S is almost as cheap as a decent Android phone now. I wouldn't ever waste money on their computers but a phone is always useful. Intersting Kickstarter Ossic X headphones will support lightening and micro USB.
