Hi all,

It's upgrade time and I've got a choice to switch to an unlimited everything 3G deal or a decent 4G deal with EE. (I tried to escape from EE so asked for my PAC code and they offered some good rolling monthly contracts).

Has anyone tried to switch their Nexus 4 to LTE and been successful or is this a waste of time?

I don't really need a shed load of data like the 3G option, I'd prefer less data and 4G speeds.

Cheers,

Tox

I believe it's technically possible but insanely difficult to achieve in the UK. I looked into it but after wading through endless XDA forum threads I gave up.

I did it by buying a Nexus 5.  Everything else made my head hurt.

Have a Google, you can find some fairly easy to follow walkthrough guides... just back everything up before you go tinkering!

This looks much simpler than when I tried, you'll just have to work out which modem to use.
