I'm glad Hamilton managed to bring it home - he's a fantastically exciting driver to watch.

Rosberg should get a lot of credit for choosing to stay out when the team had called him in, with a totally borked car. I'm sure other drivers might have sulked off to the pit lane and disappeared but he wanted to finish with his head held high - great attitude.

Season's over, so the axes are falling.

Ferrari get floated by Fiat and Marco Mattiacci gets sacked after about 6 months at the helm of the prancing horse  F1 team.   Maurizio Arrivabene (ex-Philip Morris) takes over.   Mattiacci gets moved back to a more senior role within the Ferrari non-F1 world, much like the position he had before being plucked out of obscurity to run the Maranello-based team.

Jean eric Vergne has been dropped by Toro Roso with no news as to who will be replacing him yet

Mclaren have had their first test with the Honda engine but had a few electrical problems and could only last 5 laps and not at race pace
