Quote from: TeaLeaf;394775I'll try to hook up with something later today, but I need some idea of how to get the assignments and rent the planes etc as when I start the fse it is totally empty (even after the account is input).  There's probably a rather large FAQ somewhere that I should have read!

If you go to the link that was sent to you when your account was set up, on the right hand side of the homepage there is a list of shortcuts.  Click on the 'install the simconnect client' .  Once installed open the client via the windows start menu ( it's in a folder named //www.fseconomy.net). Once this is open click file then config, enter your username and password, then click OK.  Now make sure in the very bottom left of the client it says connected.

To find an assignment and an aircraft, click on Airports at the top.  Search for an airport you wish to fly from either by typing the airport code into the ICAO box or search by city. This will then list the available assignments from that airport.  If you scroll down the page below the assignments you will see a list of aircraft at that airport. Some will be available to rent, it will state 'rent dry or rent wet' next to that aircraft. Renting an aircraft dry means you have to pay for any fuel you use, renting it wet means fuel is all inclusive of the rental price.

Once you have decided what assignments you want to do, select them by adding a tick on the left hand side of each one (be aware that the more you select for one flight increases your overall weight of your aircraft).
Then scroll to the bottom of the assignments and click on add selection to my flight.

Now select your aircraft you want to rent (Baring in mind that you must have that aircraft in your fsx library) by clicking on rent dry or rent wet depending on how you want to rent the aircraft.

Now click on 'my flight' at the top of the page, this will the list you flight summary. Just under your assignments summary you will see some greyish text that gives you your total weight for the flight. Make a note of this.  Also below that is the aircraft details of which you have rented.  Make a note of how much fuel is in the tank by percentage.

Now launch fsx, go to free flight and configure your flight as needed and 'spawn' at you starting airport.  Within fsx go to aircraft from the menu at the top and select fuel and payload.  Configure this to match the weight and fuel load shown in the assignments summary from fseconomy.

Once you have this sorted, do your normal pre flight checks in fsx.  Then go to addons at the top of fsx and select fseconomy and then start flight.
Fly your assignment route and land at your destination. Park up and put your parking breaks on (ctrl and period key) you should then see a dialog box open saying 'sending results to FSE' ( or something along those lines'

Go back to fseconomy client and click on balance, you should now have earned some cash ( presuming that the assignments you took on paid more than the cost of you renting the aircraft).

That's the general gist, I would however recommend reading the manual here for more detailed and lengthy instruction

Hi, I'm a new member who has recently started using FS economy and was wondering if I could fly in your group?  I'm not sure if there is any signup process.  If there is please let me  know :)

My FSE name id Tuna.

I'm currently flying routes using either a Pilatus PC12 or a Piper PA32 Saratoga, both of which I have found quite efficient.

Anyway, here's hoping.
He's a Tuna, he's a Tuna, he's a Tuna.

Welcome to dMw Tuna, glad to have you onboard.  I think Vobler or Sparko can hook you up with an invite (I can't as my FSX is temporarily uninstalled).   Meet with them on TS too if you want to chat whilst flying - details are here.

See you online!
