Is there a chance on the front page for a count down timer to the LAN??

I think there are some plugins out there.

The only up to date addon I could find requires forum permissions I do not have, sorry. i.e. create forum blocks, active forum sidebar etc. I think this would be something we'd need Gandy to do or go without?

Gandy will have a look for an up-to-date plugin.

It was a module that was active when we had the old vb content management system that we used in ver 3. Since the new v4 forum has been installed I've not looked too much into the custom side of things however I can't see it being a problem and there is probably already a countdown plugin available.
 
I'll have a search on the vbulletin.org forums when I get a spare five minutes to see what's about.

Anyone with full forum admin permissions can install plugins so yes, Smilo should be able to do this fine.

so that's something we need to look into if you can't.

The plugin I found needed me to activate forum blocks which I seem not to be able to do. The one we're using is different and doesn't require that, so we're all good

that plugin only seems to work where it is. it's meant for the new forum blocks.

if you want it in a different location, then I'll have to look for an alternative. I'll look when I get a spare moment.
