The competitive game yesterday went perfectly in my opinion, admittedly the teams were slightly one sided but I'm sure we'll find a balance sooner or later. The server is absolutely fantastic so thank you to those involved (probably mainly Pesteh and Blunt, from what I saw anyway) ;D

One question I'd like to ask is that we had a good number of people wanting to join the server tonight (which is excellent) but it left a couple of people slightly disappointed. I'd like to know the arrangements for the teams, will we have a specific set of people for a certain match or will it be whoever shows up first gets the spot? I'd be happy with either arrangement but I'm leaning towards the "Whoever turns up first" side of things. Blunt, Slow, everyone? What do you think?

Yes Many thanks to all the lads who played in the first DMW comp match, I think it went well and I hoped you all enjoyed it. Apologies to those who missed out but it really does pay to drop by the forum now and then.
At the moment I suppose it as to be first on a first come first served basis until more people show an interest in participating then we could make up 3 or 4 teams and have a round robin event (mini league) over a couple of nights.
Maybe a message could be spammed on boomer to alert other non forum users to drop in and register.
Anyway just for the record here is the result. (they were cheating BTW):norty:

Maybe have DMW members get preference over non members?

The private server is available to any forum members regardless of their tag status.

I will gladly stand aside on most evenings, but tonight I wanted to check all was running smoothly. And it was.

Pesteh takes the credit for all the work, I just demanded he did stuff.

Dex & Slowhand, you 2 are the comp admins, I'll let you figure out a formula for getting everyone to play :narnar:

Anything you need, just give me a shout and I'll try to help.

Glad you enjoyed it.
Regards
Blunt

Yeah, the first come first serve basis will work well for now. Also, the message on boomer is a good idea, that would probably encourage more people to register on the forums.

In order to get on to our private server any player must be a dMw member (i.e. have a validated account on this forum) otherwise they would not be able to see the server password..

They don't have to be a supporting member though as this is purely voluntary (albeit a measly £12 per year which helps fund the servers).
