Server Down

The planned and previously advertised server maintenance and upgrade will be carried out this Saturday, 24th January.  As a result:
  • The gaming servers will be down from circa 11.00am.
  • The website will be down from circa 11.00am.
  • Anything else hosted on BlackAdder will be down from 11.00am.
  • The forums will be closed late night on Friday, probably at about 12.00am.  This will allow a backup to be taken to be reinstalled on BlackAdder on Saturday.
We aim to complete the work during the day and with luck, everything should be back to normal by the evening.  Wish us luck as we have a lot of work to do.

Good luck guys. I hope you got a CD full of patches for w2k3 server before you attach to the net or you're gonna get hacked to hell in sod all flat ;)

If you have trouble getting in to it just remember that EVERYTHING is locked down by default in w2k3 unlike earlier servers. Even IIS is locked down by golly :D

If you have any FTP or web space hosted on BlackAdder please ensure that you have secured your copies by tomorrow morning as all files on the HDD will be destroyed during the changeover to Windows.

Don't forget that BB's server is always avail for the first eight to arrive :)
