So I try to play on the Exile server and i installed Exile,Esseker and Ryans Zombies - the forum states that I also need CBA and ShackTac but when I use these the server is unjoinable - So when I join the server everything is good for a few seconds then the game tells me that I've been kicked off and brings me back to the main menu.

I've tried verifying game cache - this did not work either

Please help :P

Hi ThatIrishGamerHD and welcome to the real DMW Gaming Community.

Despite the fact that Dead Men Walking Gaming Community is a well known, UK-based and long established gaming community which has been running for 20 years, you appear to have fallen for that age old trick where someone sets up a new and totally different 'DMW Gaming' community, which is also UK-based, has an almost identical name and therefore rightly confuses its members.  If you Google 'Dead Men Walking Gaming'  you'll tend to find links to this community, which is not surprising as we have a 20 year history in PC-gaming and over 500,000 posts (inc archived sections) for web spiders to crawl over.

The Dead Men Walking forum you actually wanted to post on is a totally different website, which appears to have launched in April 2016 and is unfortunately named to be almost identical to ours.

I have posted on 'your' DMW forum to say hello and point out the problem that you had.   I hope that this helps.

Quote from: TeaLeafHi folks, I'm TeaLeaf (aka TL)

I'm co-leader of the UK-based DMW Gaming Community which was established in 1996, so it's our 20th birthday this year.   I've got an extensive history in gaming, starting out from 'dial-up modem' Quake Action Online through to 'fibre to the home' Star Citizen, including along the way all flavours of CSGO, Battlefield, MoH, Arma, WoW, CoD, Overwatch, LFS, Assetto Corsa, Ark, WoT and many, many others.  A lot of my gaming time these days is taken up with running the Dead Men Walking gaming community: a forum with over 500,000 posts and almost 4,000 registered members creates quite a lot of admin, but I still try to slot in some gaming each week (currently WoT for solo play and Overwatch for DMW team action) whilst patiently waiting for Star Citizen to sort out the alpha social module so that our members can join a team and explore the universe together.

I thought I'd stop by and say hello, mainly because we had one of your members posting in our Arma section.  They clearly thought that our UK-based 'Dead Men Walking Gaming Community' was your UK-based 'Dead Men Walking Gaming'.   I guess it's an easy mistake to make given that the names and location are just about identical.  We can't claim copyright, TM or ownership of the DMW/Dead Men Walking name, but at this very early stage in your community's life you might perhaps want to consider a name change to something a little more unique, lest we host more posts for more of your (prospective) members?  We're not insisting you change your name, we don't have that right and it's your decision anyway, it's just a polite suggestion.

I'm very happy to maintain a cordial dialogue with representatives of this site and in the mean time extend an invitation for any of your members to visit us in friendship over at //www.deadmen.co.uk

And now I need to get back to organising our next members only LAN party.  We host 2 LANs per year and the next one (October 2016) is our 30th LAN party and will be used to celebrate the community's 20th birthday party.   We have about 60 people booked in for it so far (we take over a hotel for the 5 day event) and about 12 people flying into the UK from Europe to join us - it should be great fun!

See you online!
