Morning,

Just a quick follow up to Oldie's post in News.

A couple of days ago Oldie grabbed me and Whitey and we had a chat about Ark.

Much as a love the game, like 7 Days to Die I wasn't sure we needed a GL as I'm not totally sure of the game's longevity. However, Oldie rightly pointed out that he was keen that we didn't have the impasse which happened towards the end of The Island.

So we came to a compromise that I would be the official GL. However, I very much see myself as more of a caretaker than a GL. I really hope I can rely on your support and we'll run this pretty much as an Oligarchy with myself as a conduit or final arbiter should it be needed.

I would very much love to have the current (active) admins remain in place and will include Whitey and Oldie as they're not currently recognised.

Unless I've missed something this will be: Sith, Chaos, OB, Whitey and Galatoni.

Please shout out with any ideas or issues you face and let's try to make this as fun and engaging as we can. You're all great at helping others and the server has a nice feel to it.

There's a few nice options on The Centre (can't bring myself to call it Center) such as the underground world, caves, underwater bubble areas and the floating island which give us scope and opportunity for group-wide events and we'll do a group Giga and hopefully a Titanasaurus should we find one.

Happy to help where I can.

A group cave exploration can be done pretty soon I think, and would be a good group activity to kick things off with. We could aim for a group activity weekly or fortnightly, starting with a cave romp. A group Quetz / Argy tame is also something I am interested in (I can build us all saddles for both now :flirty:).

The problem with the underground world is access out. Getting in is easy from the various water caverns but I think the moody cave is the only way out?

Not sure..but an explore with the stipulation that we will probably get stuck and end up dying could still be a fun explore!

Seems like a good idea. A few of us had a chat the other day about possible event ideas. Dino racing seemed to come up. It'd be hard to set up an actual course, so perhaps a point-to-point race might be an idea? Gladiatorial type battles was another idea. Either dinos or people.

NB: Nice one Pen! We need a bit of overall leadership!

Dodo punting? (line up dodos, get on a Tri and see who can punt it the furthest (you might want a number of games like that)
Hide and Seek
Distance swimming? But more like who can go the furthest without getting eaten

(storage box on some islands and you have to collecting something from each one)
some sort of capture the flag game? (low tech)

Guys I am AFK atm,

I have moved into a house with internet consisting of 2 baked bean cans and some string. My ping is hitting 2000 and averages at 5-700. Simply can't play online. I tried rebuilding my saddle (which I lost when I spawned glitched out of the map only to drown in invisible water - great fun bug that one was) and couldn't even get 20 feet due to the lag and teleporting.

Whitey has fed my argie (I am stranded miles away from home). I hope to be back asap... if I can't get any working internet I will post up again in a few days asking for another quick bird feed... :/

let me know if you want us to caretake for your animals or bring them over to ours if that's feasible.

Thanks Pen.

It seems Amazon heard my moaning and delivered my network plugs early this morning. Tested them this evening and although not perfect it is now actually playable.

I hope the upgrade to fibre makes it smooth again, but at least now I was able to gather resources, rebuild the pteranodon saddle and fly over to my main base (which is seriously behind on my building plans :woot2:).
