1. Teamwork.

Overwatch is a game that lives and dies on its teamwork. This is a team-based game for a teamwork-based community. We don't care how s1ck you are with a sniper rifle, and we aren't interested in your K/D ratio - lone wolves need not apply. Work together to secure the objective and hopefully have some fun along the way! Try to experiment with new Heroes and tactics that complement your team - there is a strength, weakness, and counter for everyone in this game, sometimes cracking the enemy defence requires the right team set up!


2. Communication.

Teamspeak is all but essential. At the time of writing we have 4 channels. Use them! In-game comms work reasonably well for Matchmaking, and I would encourage their use when going in with only a few players (maybe you will meet some new friends and future dMw-ers!). Remember to use the TEAM comms press 'P' and join the TEAM group chat (default will stick you in a 'Group' chat where your team-mates won't be able to hear you, nor you them).

As a communication side note, if you want to bring any friends into the fold, be it ones you make in matchmaking or otherwise - please remember they have to register on these forums to access the TeamSpeak. Lastly, please keep the 21:00 TS watershed in mind!


3. Attitude.

Winning isn't everything, and we're all here to have fun at the end of the day. When you are out there playing in the wild you're representing the community. That isn't to say a little bit of trash talk now and then is a bad thing, but this needs to be judged on a case by case basis - some teams we match against will join us in a bit of friendly banter, but this is very different from calling out a 'n00b' struggling against your 1337 skills. Give respect to the teams you beat, and congratulate the ones you don't. If someone starts getting abusive to you, be as super nice as you possibly can (this is general life advice - it is a wonderful and often hilarious disarmament technique). Play nice.


4. Admins.
Your admins are - pesteh, milli, Jelwelz, Gunda - they are there to help you get into teams / games, and to try to keep things running smoothly. Any problems with the game, give them a shout. Any problems with them, give me a shout!


5. Have fun!

At the end of the day this is why we are playing! We are a mixed bunch, and the games work best when we help each other and work together. Support the new or inexperienced guys, share your tips and secrets, work on strategies together and try new things... look after each other! Let's make Overwatch a great experience for all in dMw, and keep it going strong - it's off to a fantastic start!

Badges!

Badges will be given out as soon as they are available! Don't fret if you haven't got a badge yet they are currently not ready!

I will be giving out badges to regular Overwatch players that generally stick to what is outlined above.. if when I start giving badges out you think I have missed you off, please do not hesitate to drop me a PM!

I am soon going to be removing badges from those that are no longer regulars at the game. We have a core group of regular players, and I want the badges to be for those strange people that keep coming back to Overwatch's brand of masochism :woot2:

This is to keep the badges as something a bit unique for our regular few that keep coming back every wednesday and beyond
