As some of you know, I'm a bit of a fan of the Pokemon game franchise.

The latest installment is the pair of Nintendo Switch games, Sword and Shield. The game is set in a mock British region with a open world elements and a raid system for players to group together to try and defeat huge powerful Pokemon.

In true Nintendo tradition, the network matchmaking and comms in game is abysmal.

I'm starting this topc to gauge interest in raiding.

Things you need to know:

1) A raid lasts about 5 minutes and needs between 1 and 4 players. If less than 4 join, the game will add up to 3 random characters. (So this random element isn't good).
2) Raids are level 1* up to 5* with 5* being the tough ones. 5* are all but impossible to beat with 1 player, 2 is possible 3 realistic and 4 probable. 2 NPCs in 5* raids are a liability.
3) If you try to raid publically, you open an invite for other players to join you after you discover a new raid. There is a 3 minute windows during which time, people can join or you can force start the raid.
4) Private raids are passcode protected. You can search on your friends list for raids being advertised.
5) Once you complete the 8 gyms (not the full story) then you can easily contribute positively in 5* raids. Of course as you win and capture pokemon in these raids your team strengthens and raiding becomes more interesting and fun.

If you'd like to raid, add me as a friend (in the nintendo profile accessed on your Switch by clicking the circle at the top left of your screen: [FONT=&]SW-4671-0118-6519

I meant to add, I have duplicates of several useful 5* Pokemon, so level 55-60 raid bosses, so provided you have defeated all 8 gyms, you can use that level of poke in battle, happy to trade spares.
