Question about DoD

My nephew and a friend of his have this problem:

They can't install DoD because they say they need an validation code. They should get an email from DoD but they don't get it.
Any help?

Do you all have the same account or seperate ones?
When i install steam it automaticly installs all the games with it not asking me for validation/cd keys and no i dont have hl installed, or this could all be the work of the new update. You could try uninstalling dod then install it again? Is this the only game they have in their options? Coulf always delete the .blob file?
